"Indonesia is a vast Southeast Asian archipelago of more than 17,500 islands that straddles the equator, Indonesia has become an established and crucial player in the world’s energy markets. It is endowed with some of the world’s largest reserves of fossil fuels, and in 2011, it was the world’s largest steam coal exporter and the eighth largest natural gas exporter. Yet, today, Energy security has become Indonesia’s paramount challenge. And it appears it will be the country’s preoccupation until at least 2020.
On the other hand, compounded by its geographic complexity, without available electricity imports, and reluctant to rely on diminishing domestic oil supplies that fuel off-grid diesel generators on the nation’s 6,000 inhabited islands, the country has been stricken by a critical undersupply of power and with over 252 million inhabitants in 2014, Indonesia’s large and diverse population makes it the fourth most populous country in the world. Over half of the country’s population lives in the Java-Bali region, while the rest is spread across Sumatra, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Nusa Tenggara and Maluku, Papua, and about 6,000 other smaller inhabited islands. Economic activity is mostly focused in the Java-Bali region. The country’s island geography make transportation and service provision especially power supply challenging in outlying provinces.
In dealing with these challenges by Indonesia Government, PT.Panah Perak Megasarana are passionate to take an important role in this advances, Our mission and objectives is competing to become a reliable partner for the Indonesia Government for power and energy technologies provider that are competitive, sustainable by sufficient quantity, good quality, environmentally friendly and the most important, as the answer to this issue to deliver reasonable electricity price in order to improve the welfare of the people and at the end could helps to reduces the subsidy of the electricity cost of Indonesia Government in the Power sector."
